The Best known red wine grape and the main variety used in all Bordeaux, Medoc wines (Claret). Recognised by its strong blackcurrant and herby aroma. The higher tannin content of the wine requires a long maturation time for it to reach its peak.

The House of Beaverdale have produced these kits since 1988. They were designed to allow people to produce in their own homes, a range of wines to rival those produced in the great Chateaux of the worlds great wine producing regions.

The grape juice is sourced from high quality grapes within the wine growing areas. The wine is drinkable within a week of being finished, however a longer period of being laid down will certainly improve the wine.
