Would have rated a 4 before I got into twin pack kits which include the Malt.
However a Great low cost kit, realy good if you add honey and or late hop with Goldings hops, Unless your realy like bitter flavours then add Challenger hops to the mash when you start). This was my Favourite when I got started home brewing and I still brew it often for 2nd barrel at Parties Just add Light spray dried Malt not sugar and Safale yeast instead of the supplied pack, I always degass and fine for a quicker conditioning when I'm running out of ready beer.
