This kit was my fisrst go at home brew for 20 years and has been a complete revalation. It's a bit more involved that the canned malt extract that I remember, needs plenty of boiling water to get the "tea bags" going. Firmentation took nine days then another seven in a clean vessel before I bottle half and kegged the remainder.
The result is a dark malty beer with a delicate hoppy background. A.B.V. of around 5%, I used 1kg of Brupaks brewers sugar. I think that their malt pack may have over done on the malt flavour.
Overall I would say that this compares favorably to a comercial brew.
I recommend this and will brew it again
